Site – specific Dance: Body, The Moment.

Site-specific dance performance, which rose out of the dance experiments of postmodern and avant-garde choreographers of the 1960s and 70s, continues to permeate the contemporary dance world. Led by the Artistic Director Willy Tsao, dancers from the Beijing Dance/LDTX will explore the museum through body languages, making the architecture becomes as much a part of the performance as the dancer’s body.

At this moment, the body moves unrestrictedly. It’s an expression of thoughts as well as a physical vocabulary of emotions.”

About Beijing Dance Festival 2014
The Beijing Dance Festival is co-organized by BeijingDance/LDTX, Guangdong Modern Dance Company and City Contemporary Dance Company (Hong Kong). Together with the Guangdong Dance Festival and China Dance Forward, they form the biggest contemporary dance network in China. In Beijing Dance Festival 2014 will present a total of 17 performances. Four of these performances featuring choreographies from Hong Kong will be presented as a special collection on July 21 under the Hong Kong Day programme. Other presentations are from Australia, Canada, Israel, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, and the U.S.A., as well as from different cities of China including Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
